Due to unforseen circumstances (the boy's psycho soon-to-be ex), I have to make this blog semi-private for now. Shoot me an email if you want to be added to the list, but I think you'll need a google account before being able to read it.

I am just amazed at how fabulous things can be. New love is intoxicating. I move in with the boy June 8th - we got an apartment today. Cross your fingers that I get this job I applied for (Suna, Beccano would be so jealous of this job. I'll tell you about it in person - are we still on for Saturday, or do you want to wait and see how you feel?) cause I really REALLY need some gainful employment.

I went back and forth on telling this to the internet, but I am in the big ol' middle of the application to be a SuicideGirl (if you don't know what that is, the link is NOT safe for work), as is my lovely best friend. All we have left to do is have our sets photographed and accepted.
Hey there! Thanks for your application to become a SuicideGirl. You
look perfect for our site, and you've now passed the first stage of
the application process.
If I get the mystery job, plus 2-3 days a week at the video store, plus $500 every time a set is published, I'll be pocketing a nice little chunk of change there.

Everything is falling into place. I don't get to keep my dog, but I get to keep the most fantastic man I have ever met. I'll miss Valentine, but love (with another human) is too good to pass up.

PS (to my Secret Pal) - You sent Kushiel's Dart right when I finished Neverwhere, and I adore it. I'm reading it pretty quickly. Also, You might be interested to know that I decided to get a tattoo of the rose logo from the cover.

Shut down all the trash compactors on the detentions levels!

This was going to be a longer, bigger post, but I have an evil cold that makes me want to sleep constantly. Unfortunatly for me, I have to work all weekend. So you get a lame-ass pictorial update. And my pictures will probably throw off the frames or look too big, but I am too lazy to worry about fixing it.

I got my package from my secret pal (finally! totally not her fault, I blame the postal service):

roving from Spritely Goods in "Fairy Duster". yummy! I need to get a wheel, lol:

Holy shit, check out this years line up for ACL Fest: ACL Fest Line up

I am nothing less than excited. On the list of "Bands to see or I will surely die" are:

  • BOB DYLAN - I would pay the ticket price just to see him. He's a poet, and an inspiration to so many musicians, and I want to be able to see him before he passes. I've seen his son live, though

  • Spoon - from Austin, they're starting to make it big

  • Blue October - also from Austin. I ADORE this band, and have been trying to see them for a couple of years

  • Indigo Girls

  • The Decemberists

  • Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

  • Ben Kweller

  • Ziggy Marley

  • Béla Fleck and the Flecktones

  • Reverend Horton Heat

  • Blonde Redhead

Jesus Christ, the internet is boring in the morning. Why am I up so early? My arm fucking hurts. Why? This is why:

Damn, is all.

You guys are awesome. Seriously.

Most of my stuff lives in a storage shed now. I live on an air mattress at Jenn and Sean's. A little more of my stuff (and my dog) is still at Bryce's. I still don't know what I'm going to do with her. I want to keep her, but I'll need to get another job like NOW (I have an interview Monday at TicketCity.com - wish me luck) in order to keep her. Basically, a decision one way or the other needs to be made by the end of the week. I can't ask Bryce to keep her much longer, and while I have had an offer for a friend of Jenn's to watch her, I don't know that I trust this friend with my dog. Plus, he has another dog that I haven't met, that happens to be a pit bull. While I know some pits are sweethearts, I also know that some do not like other dogs.

In knitting news - there has been none. At all.

In boy news - there is one. One that is not the ex. I can't say a whole lot about him at this moment in time. But he is the most awesome boy I've ever met. I've been seeing him for 3 or 4 weeks now (yes, my relationships usually overlap), I guess, and I think he's fabulous. He's a lot like me, and there's all this obscure shit that I know of, that I've never met anyone else that knows of it, (movies, music, etc) and he knows it. We want to write movies together, and I told him I love him last night.

The good outweighs the bad.
